The Reverend will be discussion the history of the christian celebration in December, followed by stories from the Jewish holiday, the secular celebration of Santa Claus, and a celtic tale from the Yule traditions. Thursday, November 23rd, is Thanksgiving in the United States. And even though things have gotten a lot darker, in general, since Thanksgiving 2016, there are still things to be grateful for, and the Reverend Jeff Smith has found them for you! Hear about the strides in fighting racism, sexism, homophobia, and xenophobia from the most recent election! Remember the glory that was the Women's March in January of this year! Friday, November 17th, is National Unfriend Day. Started by comedian Jimmy Kimmel, it's the day to look at your friends, online and off, with a critical eye and find out if any of these relationships are friendships in name only! The Reverend Jeff Smith investigates the day, looks at the neurological benefits of friendship, dives into what makes a really good friend (as opposed to any other type), how you know when it's probably time to let a friendship go, and offers a few personal suggestions on looking at friendships past and present!
