March 18th, 2018 - International Day of Happiness

Tuesday, March 20th, is the International Day of Happiness. This Day was introduced by the General Assembly of the United Nations during 2012 and was celebrated for the first time in 2013. As the Reverend, Jeff Smith, says, "Now, we could go all fluffy and just do a completely brainless, feel-good show about this topic, but I think you deserve better than that, and I hope that you long-time listeners have come to expect more than that from me as well. We're going to talk about happiness from a scientific standpoint, discuss one of the newest areas of psychology related to happiness, examine some deliberate choices you can make to become consciously happier as a person, and I'll share some of my thoughts on the role of happiness in life at the end."

He'll talk about the incident, look at the history of the 2nd Amendment as well as the history of the National Rifle Association, and he'll offer his advice on how to work through this recurring issue in pursuit of an answer to the question "How do we make this stop."
