The Church of Classic Rock Join the Reverend Jeff Smith for the observation of a special day that hits very close to home for everyone at Spirit of Resistance Radio! April 25th is when we celebrate the birth (in 1874) of someone without whom we couldn't do what we do here in the Church of Classic Rock! It's International Marconi Day, when we celebrate the life of Guglielmo Marconi and the invention he mastered that still informs people around the world: Radio! We'll examine how the day is celebrated, talk about how radio stays relevant in the 21st century, briefly explore the history of radio, reveal how radio was, perhaps, the most important ally to the counterculture movements of the 60s and 70s, and the Rev has a few radio memories to share with everyone as well!
