November 25th is Jukebox Day, and we'll be looking back at that odd little machine that such a huge impact on the world! The Rev'll talk about the day and what you can do to celebrate it, introduce you to the folks responsible for the invention of the Jukebox, detail some of its evolution throughout the 135+ years of its history, tell you about the only remaining full-time Jukebox repairman still working today, and he'll share some of his memories and thoughts on jukeboxes and their place in history. It was hoped that we'd be done with politics for a while, but... nope! So today, the Rev'll be examining the Electoral College for all its merits and flaws. He'll discuss the crack it has allowed in our laws, the original intent, how it's developed and changed over the country's 244-year history, how a growing number of states are joining a pact to basically render it powerless, and he'll end with his plea for those in power regarding the College's hold on American politics. Continuing our run-up to the November election, it's the third part of "Truth, Justice, and the American Way" this week as the Rev tries to nail down just what that is, and how the "make American great again" slogan compares and contrasts with that. The Rev will investigate its origins and its effects on global politics, the questions that guide the creation of a democracy, the threat to democracy that gerrymandering represents, the most recent threats to democracy, and he'll explain his view on why this coming election will decide if we remain a democracy or slide into a less efficient and more dangerous form of government in the US.
